OUR MISSION

To ensure that no individual or family has to face hunger, homelessness, or hardship alone — through community partnerships, donations, and outreach that bring hope and practical assistance to those who need it most.

Care beyond the clinic

Healthcare + community support

ABOUT US

Bridging healthcare and essential community support.

VirtuCare Shelter & Support Foundation was established by VirtuCare Harmony Medical Center after recognizing a growing need within the communities we serve. Through our work in healthcare and behavioral health, we receive countless calls from individuals and families struggling with homelessness, food insecurity, financial hardship, and a lack of basic necessities.

While our medical center is committed to quality healthcare, many challenges affecting our patients extend beyond medical care. Safe housing, access to food, and basic support are essential to overall health and well-being.

We created this foundation to bridge that gap — connecting vulnerable individuals and families with resources, emergency assistance, food support, housing-related aid, and other services designed to promote stability and dignity.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Meet Charity Sanders

Charity Sanders is the founder of VirtuCare Shelter & Support, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families facing homelessness, domestic violence, financial hardship, and other life challenges.

As a mother of four, Charity understands firsthand the struggles that many families face. Her journey was shaped by experiences of homelessness, domestic violence, betrayal, emotional trauma, and criticism during some of the most difficult seasons of her life. While trying to care for her children and survive overwhelming circumstances, she often found herself losing sight of who she was amid the chaos.

There was a time when Charity felt broken, unseen, and unheard. She longed for someone who would look beyond her struggles and remind her that she still had value, purpose, and a future. The effects of trauma and hardship can leave a person questioning their worth, their identity, and whether their life truly matters.

Through faith, perseverance, and personal growth, Charity began to rediscover herself. She realized that her circumstances did not define her, her past did not determine her future, and most importantly, that she mattered. That realization changed everything.

Today, Charity is dedicated to helping others come to that same understanding. She founded VirtuCare Support Foundation to be a source of hope, support, advocacy, and empowerment for those who may feel forgotten, overwhelmed, or alone. Her mission is to remind individuals and families that their lives have value, their voices deserve to be heard, and their circumstances do not have the final say in their story.

Charity believes that healing begins when people are seen, supported, and reminded of their worth. Through VirtuCare Support Foundation, she is committed to helping others rebuild their lives, restore their confidence, and discover that they matter too.

Her message is simple: No matter what you have faced, no matter how broken you may feel, your life matters, your story matters, and there is hope for a brighter future.
